Choose apples that will not turn into porridge after baking, but will retain density. As a rule, the variety Renet, Jonathan and Jonagold is suitable. They are elastic, moderately sweet.

    Many years ago, my Grandmother baked extraordinary buns made of yeast dough with apples. One day I decided to repeat the recipe for my children. But because of my busy schedule, I took ready-made puff pastry. And the result surpassed itself. The buns came out so delicious that now it is our invariable Saturday dish. I recommend to try it.

    Step-by-step recipe

    1.

    Defrost the finished puff pastry. Yeast is better.

    Roll out the dough 0.5 cm thick.

    Cut the dough layer into strips 6 cm wide .

    Boil water in a saucepan.

    Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into boiling water, put butter and pour sugar. Mix well and let it boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove the core from the apples and cut into thin half rings.

    Put the apples in a saucepan with boiling syrup and turn off the heat. Remove the apples from the syrup.
