How to make Apple roses from puff pastry (buns)
Many years ago, my Grandmother baked extraordinary buns made of yeast dough with apples. One day I decided to repeat the recipe for my children. But because of my busy schedule, I took ready-made puff pastry. And the result surpassed itself. The buns came out so delicious that now it is our invariable Saturday dish. I recommend to try it.
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
Defrost the finished puff pastry. Yeast is better. |
2. |
Roll out the dough 0.5 cm thick. |
3. |
Cut the dough layer into strips 6 cm wide . |
4. |
Boil water in a saucepan. |
5. |
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into boiling water, put butter and pour sugar. Mix well and let it boil for 5 minutes. |
6. |
Remove the core from the apples and cut into thin half rings. |
7. |
Put the apples in a saucepan with boiling syrup and turn off the heat. Remove the apples from the syrup. |
8. |
Lubricate the dough strips with jam (preferably apple). Arrange the apples on the dough strips so that part of the apples peeked out from behind the edge. |
9. |
Wrap a strip of dough like rolls. It will turn out a very beautiful rose. |
10. |
Carefully transfer each rose into a cupcake baking dish (pre-dust the mold with flour). |
11. |
Put the dessert in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. After 30-35 minutes, the buns in the form of roses will be ready. Sprinkle them with powder and serve them to the table. |
