How to make breadsticks from puff pastry with ham and cheese
Good day to everyone. Today I really want something fragrant, crispy and certainly delicious. Let’s make puff pastry sticks! This is a very simple baking, but at the same time universal, since you can cook them with whatever your heart desires. It is enough to store a stock of puff pastry in the freezer. And as a filling today I offer you ham and cheese.
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
To begin with, let’s take puff pastry, I take ready-made, it does not affect the taste of the dish at all, but it saves a lot of time, effort and nerves). It must be pre-thawed and rolled into 2 layers. It is necessary to roll out the dough in one direction so as not to disrupt the structure of the layers. |
2. |
Spread finely chopped ham on top of the rolled dough (on one layer), and then sprinkle everything with grated cheese. Cover the dough with the filling with a second layer of dough. We cut the resulting workpiece into ribbons about 2 cm thick and about 15 cm long and twist them into spirals. |
3. |
In a small deep dish, beat the egg, using a brush, smear our spiral sticks with it and sprinkle them with sesame seeds on top. |
4. |
We cook breadsticks on a baking sheet covered with parchment in an oven at 180 ° C for 15-20 minutes. |
5. |
Our crispy and fragrant puff pastry sticks with ham and cheese are ready. You can serve them as an independent snack, or instead of bread for the first courses, especially for light soups. Bon Appetit! |
