How to cook Brushwood with milk
Brushwood is a favorite delicacy of many both children and adults. Delicious, crunchy cookies can be eaten with tea or warm milk. You can eat with jam or just enjoy it without additional goodies. The recipe is very simple, the ingredients can be found in any kitchen. And most importantly, the brushwood is being prepared very quickly.
Prepare all the ingredients. Separate the egg yolks from the whites (we will need only the yolks), add a tablespoon of sugar to them, mix until dissolved, add salt (for taste). Then add sour cream and mix.
Then pour in the milk, and a little vodka (for this test, alcohol will give crispness).
Add flour to a homogeneous mass and mix everything slowly, remove the lumps. If necessary, add a little more flour in order to knead a sufficiently steep dough. Not forgetting that it should not stick to your hands, but also should not be too clogged.
Roll out the dough in a very thin layer. Cut it into strips, then cut these strips in the middle and twist (so that it looks like patterned squares).
Pour the vegetable oil into a deep saucepan and reheat. Add a few strips to the oil and fry until golden brown (the main thing is not to overcook, as the brushwood will become not tasty, bitter and hard).
Put everything on a towel, leave for a few minutes so that the excess oil goes away. Put the finished brushwood on a plate and decorate with powdered sugar.
