How to make a Napoleon Cake with orange custard
One of the most delicious and favorite desserts in my family is the Napoleon cake. It’s not easy to prepare, but the result is amazing!
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
Prepare the dough: |
2. |
In the meantime, you can make custard. |
3. |
Put on a slow fire, add butter. Constantly stirring, bring to a boil. Remove from the heat, add orange juice, mix and cover with cling film or lid. Get the dough out of the refrigerator. Divide into 7 equal parts. We roll out each part into a thin layer 2 cm thick. |
4. |
Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Carefully make a few holes with a fork. Bake the cakes at 180 degrees, 5-7 minutes. I bake in several stages. When all the cakes are ready, we put a plate on each and cut a circle according to the shape of the plate. Thus, all the cakes will be the same size. Grind the trimmings with a rolling pin, they will be needed to decorate the cake (sprinkling). |
5. |
We begin to collect our Napoleon. Lubricate each cake liberally with cream. laying on top of each other. Decorate the cake with crumbs on top and sides, pour colored icing on top. (I had a ready-made shop. Cooked according to the instructions). Decorate with orange slices and physalis. We put the Napoleon in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours for impregnation. |
