How to Cook Chicken Curry
Today I want to talk about a dish that I think everyone has heard about, of course. This chicken curry is a very fragrant and delicious dish of Indian cuisine. Traditionally, curry is a spicy dish of vegetables and meat, with the obligatory use of spices: curry, turmeric, fenugreek, coriander, mustard, cinnamon, chili, garlic, cumin, ginger, anise, cloves (in this recipe you can skip something or add to your taste).
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
First you need to prepare the chicken. We rinse the fillets, dry them, cut them into medium cubes and leave them aside for a while. |
2. |
Now let’s prepare the vegetables. The pepper should be washed, separated from the stalk, remove the seeds and then cut into small cubes. Onions are cleaned and cut into thin half rings. Garlic cloves are cleaned and cut finely (you can skip through a garlic chopper). |
3. |
We take a frying pan and start frying our vegetables in vegetable oil. First the onion, for two to three minutes until translucent. Then add the garlic and pass it all together for another couple of minutes. Now it’s time to add tomato paste. After that, we leave our vegetables for another couple of minutes, mixing everything thoroughly. |
4. |
And now we add chicken to our vegetable mixture and lightly fry it, just so that a crust forms on the meat. Then add the chicken broth salt and spices (curry, turmeric, fenugreek, coriander, mustard, cinnamon, chili, garlic, cumin, ginger, anise, cloves), and leave the chicken to simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes. 5 minutes before cooking, add pepper and lavrushka. We cook for another three to five minutes. |
5. |
Well, that’s it. Our chicken curry is ready. Agree, it’s fast, simple and not at all time-consuming. But how delicious and fragrant! This chicken goes well with boiled rice and potatoes. Serve the dish, garnishing with fresh herbs on top, who likes what more. Bon appetit to you and your loved ones! |
