How to make a chocolate cake with pieces of chocolate and dried cherries
I bake such a cake for Easter. Chocolate and cherry are one of the best combinations. Besides, my kids just love chocolate!
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
To begin with, we prepare all the ingredients. Cherries need to be soaked in warm water. Eggs should be at room temperature. Milk is heated in a microwave oven. Then, in a convenient bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, sugar 50 gr. Cover with a film and remove to a warm place for 30 minutes. |
2. |
In a deep bowl, beat the eggs with the remaining sugar, if desired, you can add vanilla. Beat until the sugar dissolves. Melt the butter, add to the egg mixture stirring, pour in a spoonful of cocoa, then add half the flour. Knead the dough. |
3. |
Dried cherries a little dry with a paper towel, you can cut a little. Add to our dough. We also put the chocolate drops to sleep and mix. (You can also add pieces of pear — a very tasty combination). Then gradually add flour and knead the dough, knead for 10-15 minutes, it will be a little sticky. |
4. |
Next, leave the dough for about an hour in a warm place. When the dough rises, we divide it in portions, depending on the size of your mold. We roll it into a ball and put it in a mold. We send it to a preheated 180 degree oven for 20-40 minutes (depending on the size). Readiness can be checked with a skewer. |
5. |
For ganache, we pour cream into a saucepan, add chocolate and melt over low heat. Then pour in the crushed peanuts, mix and let cool down a little. When the cakes are baked, pour them on top. You can decorate additionally with sprinkles. |
