Ground peas are suitable for pea cutlets. It will be great if the peas are soaked overnight. For juiciness, add carrots to the dish.
How to cook Cutlets from peas
When you stick to fasting or are just tired of ordinary cutlets or you just don’t eat meat, there is an alternative – pea cutlets. Peas practically replace meat and contain a large amount of vitamins. The dish turns out to be cheap, satisfying and very tasty.
We wash the peas and soak them in water for about 4 hours so that they become soft. Then drain the water.
Boil the peas in salted water for about 1 hour. Drain the water.
Peel the onion and carrot. Cut the onion into 4 pieces, grate the carrots.
Chop the peas with a blender, send the onion, carrot, salt, pepper and egg there. Mix well.
We take the pea mass with a spoon, form a cutlet. Roll in flour.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, spread the cutlets and fry on all sides until browned.
Cover with a lid and fry for 2 minutes, reducing the heat.
Pea cutlets are ready. You can serve it with any sauce as an independent dish or with any side dish. Bon Appetit!
