You can cook from homemade dumplings or purchased ones. The recipe is relevant for dumplings with potatoes, spinach, mushrooms or berries. If the dumplings are purchased, see steps 4 and 5.
How to cook Fried dumplings with potatoes
A dish in a hurry. It does not require special cooking skills and special dishes. Try it, because such dumplings taste different from the usual, boiled ones.
Dough for dumplings. Beat the egg in a separate bowl. In 60 grams of water, dissolve 2 teaspoons of salt. Sift the flour with a slide, make a recess with your hand in the middle, pour water with salt and start mixing the flour from the edges into the center. Pour in the egg, gradually add the remaining water and stir in the flour. Add 2 tablespoons of oil. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes. It should be elastic and not stick to your hands. Wrap in a plastic bag and leave the dough to rest for half an hour.
Filling. Mash boiled potatoes, add warm milk (100 ml.), salt. Saute very finely chopped onion in vegetable oil until soft, golden color and delicious smell. Add the onion to the puree, mix.
Modeling of dumplings. Roll out the dough thinly. Shape cut circles (about 6 cm). Put 1-2 tablespoons of filling on circles and tightly seal the dumplings. Freeze the dumplings.
Without defrosting, fry the dumplings in a frying pan with vegetable oil, in turn, on each side until a beautiful crust (10-12 minutes).
Very tasty fried dumplings pour milk (a glass of milk for 400 grams of dumplings) and leave on low heat for 12 minutes under the lid. The sauce is made from milk, the dumplings become juicy. When cooking in this way, it is great to add a few bars of frozen spinach and a piece of butter.
