How to cook mashed potatoes with carrots and onions
To prepare mashed potatoes, peel the tubers and rinse them under cool running water. You also need to peel carrots and onions. Mashed potatoes with carrots and onions can be offered with meat or fish dishes. Excellent mashed potatoes go well with vegetable salads and greens.
Peeled potatoes are cut into large slices and put into a saucepan. Fill the potato slices with cold water and salt to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat of the stove and cook the potatoes for 25 minutes. Potatoes should become soft.
10 minutes before the end of cooking, rub the carrots, chop the onion into pieces.
We pass the vegetables in vegetable oil until lightly fried.
We drain the broth from the boiled potatoes, but not completely. In general, it is better to drain the broth in a suitable container. We begin to knead the potatoes, adding broth in the process. We bring the puree to the desired consistency.
Add the fried vegetables to the puree, mix.
