How to make a meat pie with cranberry sauce
Meat pie is loved by everyone, especially if it is with poultry meat. And if you add a spicy cranberry sauce to it, then it will definitely be impossible to break away from it. It will look great on a festive table and will emphasize the culinary skills of any hostess in front of the guests.
Step-by-step recipe

Dough. Melt the butter in the microwave or in a steam bath and pour into a bowl. Add sour cream, egg and a pinch of salt to it. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. The flour must be sifted by adding baking powder to it. And knead a soft dough. It should come off your hands. |

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour. |

Filling. Bake or boil the duck until tender. Sort the meat, remove the skin and bones, cut or tear into fibers. The pieces should not be large. Add salt and pepper. The filling should be delicious). You can add spices, herbs, or maybe you want to add your favorite vegetables (but a little so that they don’t interrupt the taste of the duck). |

Pie. Take the dough out of the refrigerator, divide it into two unequal parts (one larger, the other smaller). Roll out both pieces of dough into a circle. Then put a larger circle of rolled dough in a baking dish and form the sides of the future pie. The shape should be taken of a small diameter so that the pie turns out to be high. Next, we spread the stuffing from poultry meat. Then again the dough and form the correct shape of the pie. The upper part of the dough should be slightly lower than the sides (literally a couple of centimeters) so that we can put the sauce on this «lid» of the pie. On the surface, make a couple of punctures with a knife to release steam. |

Sauce. Pour a little orange juice into a small saucepan, bring to a boil. Then add cinnamon, zest, sugar, nutmeg, salt and grated ginger. Let it boil a little. After that, add cranberries to the same place. Boil for 10 minutes. Cool it down. |

Bake the pie in a preheated 180 C oven. The pie does not need to be baked for a long time, since the meat is already ready, literally until the crust is golden and the dough is ready. Then pull out and put cranberry sauce on top. It is perfectly combined with duck meat! Before serving, decorate the pie with sprigs of greenery. |
