How to cook Meringue on a stick
A wonderful treat consisting of available ingredients. This recipe uses yellow food coloring, but you can use absolutely any color for any occasion and holiday, or simply not use at all.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks and add them to the mixer bowl. Dishes should be dry and clean!
Beat at a minimum speed, slowly, until the proteins become dense (about 3 minutes). Gradually increase the speed to the maximum.
Add sugar and beat again at high speed for an additional 3 minutes about peaks.
The whipped whites at this stage become dense and glossy. Set aside some of the mass for decoration. Now you can add a drop of food coloring for the base. I added 1 drop to get a delicate lemon color. If necessary, add a little more. Add the dye gradually to control the intensity of the color.
For convenience, take a pastry bag and shift the meringue to form the number «8» or another shape. You can also take a teaspoon and spread it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
I advise you to first plant a small first batch and try to cook it. Meringue is a rather capricious dessert.
Insert wooden sticks into the meringue, it is better to insert them from the edge. Then decorate the base with drops of meringue of a different color, powder.
Put a baking tray with meringue in the oven and dry at a temperature of 70 — 90 ° C. At a higher temperature, the meringue may crack. If you have a gas oven, it is best to set the minimum heating to 70 °C.
