How to bake a Greek pie stuffed with spinach and feta, combined from many different elements.
How to make a Pie with feta and spinach
Russian pies, the dish is of course excellent, tasty and nutritious, but how are things in other countries? Let’s see what culinary delights we can indulge in, for example, Greece. Let’s figure out how to cook a Greek pie consisting of several dozen small pies.
Greek pie can be made from ready-made puff pastry or kneaded yourself. But we will follow the simplest path and use ready-made products. Take the yeast dough out of the refrigerator and defrost it.
Cut the peeled onion into small pieces and fry in oil until golden brown (if you don’t like onions, you can skip this step).
Chop the spinach into small pieces. Add other herbs – dill, parsley… everything you love.
In a cup, beat the eggs and, adding grated feta cheese to them, mix thoroughly.
Put the greens and overcooked onions there (if fried). Let’s mix everything up. The filling is ready.
Cut the dough into round pieces as for ordinary pies (you can use squares).
Put the filling in the middle of each juicer and pinch the edges like an open boat.
We begin to lay out the pies in a round shape (it is better to cover the form with parchment). First along a large circle, then another row along the inner circle and so on until the baking tray is completely filled.
Lubricate with melted butter.
We put it to bake in the oven. The process lasts about twenty-five minutes at a heating temperature of 190 degrees.
