Potato pancakes — draniki or deruny. This dish is based on grated potatoes with the addition of flour, eggs, onions. Many people know and love potato pancakes, and in general, this recipe has gained the greatest popularity in Belarusian cuisine.

So, let’s start cooking. To begin with, let’s take potatoes. It needs to be cleaned, washed thoroughly and grated on a fine grater. Or you can use a blender. Add salt and pepper to the resulting mass so that the potatoes give off excess liquid, which should then be drained. Then the potato pancakes will not spread over the pan and will be fried evenly. |

Then we also rub the onion and add it to the potatoes. |

Add the egg and flour to the onion-potato mixture and knead the dough for the turf until a homogeneous mass is obtained. |

We will form pancakes (pancakes) with a spoon, spreading the dough on a hot frying pan with vegetable oil. Potato pancakes are fried on medium heat on both sides until a beautiful golden crust appears. |
