How to cook puff pastry Pies with cheese and cottage cheese in the oven
To prepare puff pastry, remove the dough from the freezer in advance. It should completely unfreeze and become soft. Cottage cheese for the filling is suitable for any, cheese should be of hard varieties. From greens, it is better to use green onions and dill. Let’s get started.
The layer of thawed puff pastry is rolled into a roll and cut into pieces about 2.5-3 cm wide. Turn the pieces with the slices down and press with the palm of your hand.
We roll out the blanks into tortilla circles (approximate diameter 12 cm).
For the filling, combine cottage cheese, grated cheese and chopped greens in a bowl. Add the raw chicken protein (leave the yolk to lubricate the pies). Add a little salt and mix well. A portion of the filling is placed in the center of the tortilla.
We fasten the edges of the cakes, hiding the filling inside, in the shape of a triangle.
We put the pies on a baking sheet seam down, lubricate with yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
At 180 degrees, bake puff pastry with cottage cheese and cheese for 20-25 minutes.
Bon appetit to everyone!
