How to make a salad of raw beets and carrots
People who are engaged in raw food, try to completely cleanse their body of all sorts of so-called toxins. And this, of course, brings some benefits, but a complete transition to such a diet is possible only in the southern regions, where it is almost always warm. In the northern part of our country, animal and heat-treated food is needed in winter, without which the body will not tolerate frosts well. But, of course, no one forbids to include raw vegetables in the diet, which have a beneficial effect on our health. Today we will look at one of the salads, the ingredients of which perfectly complement each other.
There is no need to talk about the benefits of carrots and beets. They are so rich in vitamins and other beneficial trace elements that God himself ordered them to be eaten. Therefore, we will prepare the necessary amount of these wonderful vegetables for the kitchen work table.
Rinse the carrots and beets under the tap and peel off the top layer of peel. To do this, you can use a special knife-scraper. It perfectly removes the thin top layer from any vegetable, fruit or tuber.
On a grater with a medium cell, grate the carrots first, and then the beets. You can perform this procedure on a special vegetable cutter. Those who like it sharper can include a couple of garlic cloves in the salad recipe. Let’s spice it all up with olive oil.
