    Salad with squid is very healthy, light and delicious. Be sure to include it in your menu. Teach children to eat seafood from childhood. Squid contains a lot of easily digestible protein, B vitamins, as well as minerals and trace elements, including iodine, so necessary for our body. It is not difficult to prepare a salad. Squid cook for a few minutes, this is very important! If the squid is digested, they will become «rubbery», and the salad will be spoiled. I prefer to buy unpeeled frozen squid. Do not take squid with damaged skin, bent in an incomprehensible way. Choose medium-sized, smooth. Pieces of ice are often found inside large squids.

    Defrost the squid at room temperature. It is not recommended to use various defrosting devices (such as a microwave oven). Gently pry the skin with a knife and pull it off with a stocking. The remains of the skin are also removed. We clean out the insides, the spine of the squid, and remove it in the form of a thin plastic plate. We wash the squid with cool water.


    Pour water into a three-liter saucepan and wait until it boils. Meanwhile, we clean and wash the onion and pepper. Turn on the kettle with a small amount of water. Cut the onion into thin translucent half-rings. Pour 100 grams of boiling water from the kettle into a deep plate, add sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Then add vinegar, salt on the tip of the knife and immerse the chopped onion in the solution. Cover the top with a saucer so that the whole onion is immersed in the liquid and leave for 5-10 minutes.


    The water in the pan has boiled, add salt and immerse the peeled squid. We’re not going anywhere! The water with squid has boiled again, we wait 2-3 minutes and pull the squid out of the boiling water. If, after all, something distracted you, and the squid swam in boiling water for longer, we immediately send them to cold water.
