How to cook Soup with potatoes and cheese dumplings
We get all the necessary ingredients in advance, the butter should be softened.
Let’s start cooking soup with dumplings. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, add egg, butter, salt, pepper. The oil should be soft enough so that the mixture is homogeneous. Mix everything thoroughly.
The greens need to be finely chopped. Add herbs and flour to our mixture. Mix, you should get a tight dough. Let’s put the dough in the refrigerator for now.
Finely chop the onion. Pour oil into a preheated frying pan, spread the onion and pass it until it becomes soft. Cut the carrots into pieces and add them to the onion. Add salt and pepper. Reduce the temperature and extinguish. (If you don’t like frying, you can immediately throw vegetables into the soup without frying).
Cut the potatoes into cubes. Pour water into a saucepan, throw potatoes and wait for boiling. As soon as the water boils, we salt it. Remove the foam, reduce the temperature. Cook until the potatoes are ready.
As soon as the potatoes are ready, we send the roast and bay leaf to it. We take the dumplings out of the refrigerator and form balls out of them. Dumplings increase in size during cooking. We wait for boiling and cook for another 5 minutes. The soup is ready!
