How to cook Stewed chicken with broccoli and sour cream
Broccoli cabbage is one of the most useful varieties of cabbage. The amount of vitamins and trace elements in it is simply off the scale. If you eat often, there may even be an overabundance of vitamins in the body. In the spring, vitamins are especially necessary for us, especially for children. Offer your loved ones stewed chicken with broccoli. This dish has a perfectly balanced combination of protein and fiber. And broccoli cabbage practically does not differ in taste from the usual white cabbage, but it has a cheerful green color. The only negative is the price. But you can use both fresh and frozen. I usually use frozen. Do not forget to divide the fresh into small inflorescences, and the frozen one is usually already divided.
We take the chicken fillet out of the refrigerator in advance. If it was frozen, then we defrost it under normal conditions at room temperature. You can take breast fillet, if you like white meat, or thigh fillet, it will be juicier, but also fatter.
Fillet cut into pieces of three to four centimeters. Salt and pepper. Let it stand a little, soak in the aroma of pepper.
Onions are cleaned, washed and diced. Two cloves of garlic are cleaned and passed through the press, you can do this later, we will add to the dish at the end of cooking.
Pour vegetable oil into a deep frying pan and fry pieces of chicken fillet over high heat. After a few minutes, when the water from the chicken evaporates, add the onion to the same place and fry again.
Now you can add broccoli. But fresh cabbage is cooked about twice as fast as frozen. Therefore, at this stage we add frozen. You do not need to defrost the cabbage, just rinse with cool water and let it drain into the pan. Cover with a lid, cook for a few minutes while we mix the sauce.
Preparing the sauce. Stew the breast fillet necessarily in the sauce. Mix cream with sour cream. Add your favorite spices. Stirring, pour the sauce into the pan and a piece of butter in the same place. Simmer for another five minutes. In total, chicken fillet is cooked for 15-20 minutes, and frozen broccoli is the same. Add fresh broccoli 7-10 minutes before the dish is ready, otherwise you will get a green porridge. At the end we put garlic and herbs. Everything is ready. Bon Appetit!
