We will prepare sweet tartlets with a very tasty filling of applesauce, chocolate paste, decorated with delicate meringue on top.
How to cook Tartlets with apple and meringue
Tartlets are baskets of sandy or bland color, filled with a variety of fillings.
Mix the flour with powdered sugar and salt. Pour on the work surface in the form of a slide.
Make a recess in the center, add the zest of half a lemon, oil. Knead until fine crumbs.
Make the recess again, gradually introduce the egg yolks and knead the plastic dough. Put the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
After the specified time, get the dough. Distribute on the molds for baskets, carefully tamping.
Make several punctures with a fork. Put the tartlets in a preheated 180 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Let the ready-made tartlets cool for 5 minutes and take them out of the molds.
Prepare applesauce. Peel and slice the apples. Put it in a saucepan, add sugar, water. Cook until the apples are soft. Using a blender, grind to a puree with small pieces. You can add cinnamon to taste. Then put it back to boil until boiling. Let cool.
Prepare the meringue. Whisk the whites with a mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Then gradually introduce powdered sugar, continuing to beat until sharp peaks. Using a pastry bag, place the meringue on a baking sheet on parchment paper. Put in the oven heated to 80 degrees for 1 hour.
We spread the filling on the tartlets. First, put a small layer of chocolate paste, smear applesauce, decorate with meringue on top.
