How to make Tomato sauce for pizza
Classic pizza is considered a work of culinary art of Italians. Although by and large it is now widely distributed all over the world, including in Russia. It’s not difficult to bake a pizza. But if you want a real Italian dish, then you will definitely need a special sauce, which we will now make.
For the sauce, we will need basil, which needs to be finely chopped beforehand, of course, by washing the leaves and stems in water. You can use the store version in a bag. We’ll do the same with garlic.
Heat olive oil in a deep frying pan and pour garlic and basil into it. Fry them for a few minutes before the garlic takes a slightly golden color.
Now add tomatoes and some more fresh basil leaves to the pan. Crush the tomatoes right in the pan. Add salt, sugar and pepper. Mix it up.
We wait until the sauce begins to boil, and after a minute of boiling we will remove it from the heat. Strain through a sieve into a separate container. To make more juice stand out, rub them with a wooden spoon. The whole cake can be thrown out.
Pour the liquid back into the pan and bring it to a boil again. Cook for about five minutes until the sauce thickens. To avoid splashing, cover the pan with a lid.
The finished sauce, before being used in pizza, must first be sued. Then coat the dough with it and apply the necessary ingredients. But cooking the pizza itself is another story, and for today we have completed our task. Be healthy!
