How to cook Wild mushrooms in sour cream sauce
Almost all Russian people love to collect mushrooms in the forest. And it doesn’t matter where they live: in the countryside or in the city. During the mushroom season, electric trains are simply clogged with urban mushroom pickers, and parked cars can often be found along highways near woodlands. But it is not enough just to gather up «forest meat» and bring the prey into the house. It still needs to be able to cook properly, and most importantly, delicious. Today we are going to do this most interesting thing. There are an unimaginable number of mushroom recipes in cooking, from extremely simple to the most complex. We will adopt a simple, but very tasty way of cooking wild mushrooms.
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
Important! Never cook mushrooms that you don’t know well or at all. This can be fraught with poisoning. Porcini mushrooms are perhaps the most delicious of all available species and it is almost impossible to confuse them with some others. Mushrooms need to be washed, cleaned of debris, films and put to cook. Cook in salted water for no longer than five minutes so that they do not go limp. |
2. |
Digested mushrooms are drained through a colander and thoroughly washed with clean cold water. Let’s put it aside for now – let the water drain completely. |
3. |
Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion into half rings, and garlic into small pieces. |
4. |
Fry the boiled mushrooms in oil in a frying pan for five, six minutes. Then we put the onion and garlic there and fry for about seven more minutes. |
5. |
Pour our dish with sour cream sauce, cover with a lid and simmer for ten minutes, stirring regularly with a spatula. |
6. |
Sprinkle with finely chopped dill on top, mix and turn off the stove. Our wild mushrooms in sour cream sauce are ready. Bon Appetit! |
