How to make Yeast buns with cheese, nuts and nettles
Homemade buns can be cooked with any filling. Housewives like to experiment, offering their households to try their new culinary masterpieces stuffed with all kinds of ingredients. How, for example, would you feel about buns stuffed with young green nettles? But despite the fact that nettle is a weed, its leaves are saturated with very useful substances. And it is best to collect nettles when she has just «gone» and is still young.
Step-by-step recipe
1. |
Nettles grow everywhere and you can pick them easily. Choose leaves of only young nettles. They contain more vitamins and minerals, they are softer and more tender. Nettle leaves must be washed in water with acetic essence. Then put them in boiling water and cook for three minutes. Remove the nettle from boiling water and pour cold water over it. Then dry the leaves and chop them in a blender (finely chop them with a knife). |
2. |
Take the yeast dough and roll it out in a rectangular layer. Melt the butter slightly and brush the dough with it. |
3. |
Chop the green onion feathers, grind the hard cheese on a grater. Mix onion, cheese and nettle. |
4. |
Chop the nuts (any) in the bowl of a blender. Add the nut crumbs to the mixture. Scrape the zest from the lemon and add after the nuts. (In principle, nuts and lemon zest can be allowed, it’s as you like). Salt the mixture to taste, pepper, mix well. |
5. |
Put the filling on the rolled dough. Roll the dough into a roll. |
6. |
Cut it into portions. |
7. |
Spread the buns on a baking sheet at a distance from each other and put them to bake in the oven for twenty minutes (temperature 175 ° C). |
8. |
Serve the finished buns on the table in a cooled form. |

It’s very tasty! |
